Game Descriptions

Here are descriptions of the tournaments running at TG'11. Most will run in between 2 1/2 and 4 hours. All of the games are 'just show up', meaning you aren't required to bring anything in order to play. Check back for more information!

Title: Enter the Timegate
Day/time: Fri.   7pm
System: FUDGE
Max. number of players: 5

You are part of military/research team that uses the Timegate, a
hexagon-shaped portal that transports you to alternate Earths. But,
this time something went wrong. You step onto a world that may not be
Earth. Across a wide valley you see an apparatus that looks kind of
like the Timegate but it is circular. A few people in some kind of
military garb have come from it and are approaching a man wearing a
fedora and a long multi-colored scarf. He is standing next to a
strange blue box. Looks like you have a few things you need to check
out...

Title: Ranger in Wonderland
Day/Time:  Sat. 2pm
System:  Elric!
Max. number of players:  5

A force of Law meets the forces of Chaos in a battle of might and wits
when famed Minbari Ranger Lenkar is swept backward in time, to land on
the shores of Earth...OLD Earth. The Purple Isles in the time of
Elric, to be exact. Join up with the forces of Chaos as they
investigate and try to contain this powerful new foe.

Title: Into the Breach
Day/Time: Sat.  7pm
System:  Cortex
Max. number of players:  5

The new experiment was meant to do a number of things but rip a hole
in reality wasn't one of them. Worse, something has been cought in the
energy field, a big blue box that spilled out of the time-space
continuum. Who would have thought a potential cout martial could be
the best outcome for the crew's day?

Title: Lost Castaways?
Day/Time:  Sun.  2pm
System: d20 Fringeworthy
Max. number of players:  5

Your crack team of interdimensional explorers has been assigned to
investigate a portal with all kinds of high tensile metal wreckage
around it. When you transit through to the world you find yourself on
the lip of a slightly active volcano in the middle of a tropical
island. The island seems to be surrounded by heavy seas and breakers.
Far in the distance beyond the breakers you see another island with a
large lagoon. On your island, on a beach, something large shines in
the sun. It is afternoon. You can see that the vegetation has been
disturbed in a more or less straight line from the volcano to the
beach. Barely heard over the wind and breakers is the sound of distant
drums.

The following scenarios may be run if the game in the primary slot has
filled up and there are still more people who want to do an RPG:

Title: Protecting the Future
System: Gurps 3rd Edition (Babylon 5 setting)
Max. number of players:  5

Prior to the completion of the Babylon 4 space station, Earthforce
encounters an intruder on the station which brings the project to a
halt. You are the security detachment assigned to investigate and
restore order on Babylon 4 so that station construction can resume.

Title: Temple of the Unclean
System:  Dungeons & Dragons 3.5
Max. number of players: 5

The infamous Temple of the Unclean is stirring up trouble once again.
The cult was destroyed a few hundred years ago so what could it be
now? The Barony of Duskmark has been plagued of late by strange and
dangerous creatures that seem like no other beasts in the world. They
seem to be coming from the old temple. The Baron wants you to put a
stop to it.

Title: Enter the Dragon's Lair

have a lot of folks about. Can you get to the bottom of this without
